Match Report
The Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School Boys-U18A vs  Aldenham School
On: Saturday, 23 Nov 2019
Venue: at Home

Against an accomplished Aldenham team Habs fielded their youngest 1st XI of the season due to the injury and unavailability of a number of key players. The youngsters grasped their chance to impress with both hands and there were several outstanding performances. In a first half in which the visitors dominated possession, Habs' defensive shape and committed play limited Aldenham's chances to a minimum and the home team were a little unlucky to fall a goal down just before the break. Habs started the second half very brightly with real intent but a brief loss of concentration was all that Aldenham needed and a clinical finish put them 2 goals up. Habs' reaction was very positive and it was in this period that they created some good chances with the excellent Rohan Gandhi and Alexis Alexandrou combining well down the right, the latter being denied by a fantastic save by the Aldenham keeper. The away team added a third goal to seal the match and this was a little harsh on the home side who played their part in a highly competitive match played in excellent spirit by both teams.
